Odebrecht have taken yet another important step on its commitment to act ethically, with integrity and transparency. On July 31, Odebrecht S.A., together with other companies of the Group, signed the “Letter of Commitment to the Business Movement for Integrity and Transparency,” an initiative led by the Ethos Institute in partnership with the UN Global Compact and Transparency International

The movement’s goal is to engage business leaders in the integrity agenda, with a special focus on improving public-private relations and strengthening measures to prevent and combat corruption in Brazil.

In the letter, the companies undertake seven broad commitments aligned with the practice of a culture of integrity in their business environments and propose a set of actions for which government is responsible at its three levels.

“The signing of this letter marks these companies engagement in an agenda of concrete actions and the monitoring of progress in delivering the commitments undertaken,” explained Sérgio Leão, Sustainability Director at Odebrecht S.A.

In addition to Odebrecht S.A., Atvos, Braskem, Ocyan, Odebrecht Engineering & Construction and OR also signed the letter. Another 35 companies operating in Brazil in various industries also undertook the commitment.
